designed in the 1960s by the renowned Finnish designer Helena Tynell for the German manufacturer Limburg.
Both lamps are made of clear glass with a characteristic bubble glass structure - a design signature that Tynell often used for her designs at Limburg.
The glass has a relief-like surface with hemispherical elevations that scatter the incident light and create an atmospheric interplay of reflection and transparency. The rectangular shape with rounded corners gives the lights a compact, yet organically soft appearance.
The lights can be installed both as wall lights and as ceiling lights. The glass tops each sit on a lacquered support base, which is fitted with the original metal socket and manufacturer's markings. A partially preserved Limburg glassworks label is still visible on one of the sockets, and both housings bear the typical "LIMBURG" embossing as well as the electrical specification. The design allows flexible use in various living areas such as hallways, bathrooms or as a decorative lighting object in the living room.
Condition: Both lights are in good vintage condition. The glass is clear and without chips or cracks, the electrical components are fully intact and functional. Minimal signs of use on the metal base bear witness to their age, but do not affect their appearance or function.
