Sculptural dining table made of solid travertine with a round tabletop and a central, polygonal pedestal base. The generously sized tabletop displays the vibrant structure typical of travertine, with natural pores, fine inclusions, and cloud-like color variations in beige and cream tones. The edges are softly rounded and carefully polished, giving the solid stone an elegant, serene appearance despite its weight. The monumental central pedestal ensures high stability while also providing maximum legroom. Travertine furniture reached its zenith in the 1960s and 1970s and was used particularly in Italy for high-quality residential and commercial furniture. This table embodies the timeless fusion of architecture and furniture design and functions equally well as a dining table and as a striking statement piece in any room.
Condition: Minor signs of age-related wear, small chips, and open pores in the stone, especially on the underside of the tabletop. Overall, a stable construction with a beautiful, authentic patina.
