Product description
The Rotocenere ashtray, designed by Joe Colombo for the Italian company Kartell, was conceived in the late 60s and withdrawn from production in the early 70s with the intention of designing objects that met everyday challenges while using innovative materials and techniques for the time. This model is no longer produced.
This cylindrical ashtray is composed of three distinct elements. The body is in white lacquered metal, while the lid is in compressed white plastic. The lid is in two parts and can rotate 360° around the base, sealing the ashtray when not in use. This position not only prevents smoke from escaping, but also extinguishes any cigarettes still lit.
In very good original condition, the ashtray has never been used. Lack of paint on the inside.
