Splendid and elegant living room/corner coffee table, "Supercalif" model, designed by architect Luigi Massoni for the prestigious Italian manufacturer Gallotti & Radice, dating from the late 80s / early 90s. This piece is a unique item made to special order (custom) and not from the catalog. Compared to standard coffee table versions (usually very low, around 38 cm), it has a height of 50 cm, which slims the sculptural structure, making it perfect both as a center coffee table and as a refined corner side table next to important sofas. Sculptural bases: Composed of two iconic independent "butterfly" (or zig-zag ribbon) structures, created by the perfect artisanal juxtaposition and staggering of thick vertical green bevelled crystal sheets. An unmistakable geometric play of transparencies and reflections, an aesthetic signature of the manufacturer. Top: Square slab of thick transparent crystal, polished flush. As per Luigi Massoni's original purist design, the top is simply placed freely on the bases, its stability guaranteed by the weight of the crystal itself. Dimensions: Length: 80 cm Width: 80 cm Height: 50 cm (Special custom size) Condition: The table is in excellent overall vintage condition, consistent with age and use. The crystal maintains its extraordinary original brilliance. It has no structural defects. A single scratch is visible only against the light (photo 5) and not visible from a top view (photo 6). Note for collectors: Given the nature of the special off-series order of the time, the top does not have the catalog engraving, confirming the single, artisanal production by the manufacturer's projects department. Authenticity is fully guaranteed by the design, excellent materials, and unique construction techniques of Gallotti & Radice.
