The world famous Martinelli Luce Pipistrello lamp in black / dark brown. This is the largest size equipped with a dimmer. Designed in 1965 by the female Italian designer Gae Aulenti for Martinelli Luce and became a true design icon in the second half of the 20th century. The name 'Pipistrello' means bat in Italian. This name is a reference to the special lampshade, which resembles the wings of a bat. The telescopic base is also unique to this lamp, allowing it to be adjusted in height. In principle, the lamp is 66 cm high, but this can be extended to no less than 86 cm. This makes it suitable as a table lamp, but also as a floor lamp.
