This original down-filled sofa set from the 1970s embodies the relaxed, voluminous comfort of that design era. Its generous silhouette and soft upholstery make it an inviting centerpiece for any living space.
The set consists of a two-seater and a three-seater sofa with armrests. The cushions are individual, loose pillows for the seats and backrests. The set is fully upholstered and can therefore be placed anywhere in the room.
The sofas are fitted with custom-made slipcovers, handcrafted in the 1980s in America, in a neutral mauve tone with brown piping, which blend harmoniously with various color schemes. The slipcovers also feature zippers for easy removal and replacement. They are in excellent condition and are a unique, custom-made piece that you won't find in any other living room!
Beneath the slipcovers lies the original striped velour upholstery in warm shades of brown, orange, and yellow, which perfectly complements the authentic 1970s character. The original upholstery shows minimal signs of wear (e.g., on the piping of the armrests), which, for enthusiasts of this era, underscores the authentic style, age, and history of the set.
The down filling in the cushions is original and in excellent condition, as the sofas have not been used for decades. The filling provides an exceptionally soft, comfortable, and adaptable seating experience. You can sink right into it!
Also included are five cushions—four square and one round—in matching tones, all covered in handwoven silk fabric.
The armrests of both sofas can be adjusted to three different angles, from slightly reclined to almost completely flat, or removed entirely.
