My father was the first owner of this unique chaise longue. He has since passed away and the chair is now with his daughter. It is one of the first serial numbers; 426.
Unfortunately, the cowhide has been killed. Obviously some signs of wear, including in 1 spot, see photo, the chrome is missing, see photo, hence the lower price for this beautiful collector's item! It is still in good use and comfortable. There is no room for the chair, hence the sale. We give the chair to someone who makes it happy.

Cassina
Cassina was founded in 1927 by Umberto Cassina in the Italian village of Meda. The center for Italian design. In the 1950s, Cassina introduced industrial design to Italy. Cassina managed to attract the most talented designers such as Le Corbusier, Frank LIoyd Wright and Gerrit Rietveld. This group of designers is called by Cassina I Maestri (Masters). Design classics such as the Zig Zag chair, the Red and Blue chair and the LC series have emerged from this collaboration.
