The sculpture was produced using the lost wax technique at ARA-Kunst in Altrandsberg. For the bronze casting, each individual piece is first cast in wax in a hollow casting process. This is reworked over the entire surface and then embedded in refractory material, heated in a kiln so that the wax melts out, then the molds are fired for several days and thus prepared for bronze casting. The bronze is heated to around 1200° and poured into the molds. After the casting has cooled down, the molds are destroyed, which is why it is called "casting in the lost mold". The bronze casting removed from the mold is now washed and blasted. This is followed by welding, sensitive grinding, milling and chasing in about three repetitive passes until the desired appearance is achieved. The sculpture is given its final character through the art of patination. The production requires the highest level of craftsmanship and skill.
