■ EXPERTISE AND AUTHENTICITY (1973 & 1977 Editions)
The exceptional value of this set lies in its provenance and original markings, irrefutable proof of its vintage edition:
The Table: 1973 edition. The inscription "KNOLL INTERNATIONAL" and the year "1973" are directly molded into the metal beneath the heavy central pedestal.
The Chairs (x4): 1977 edition. Each chair still has its original "Knoll" label dated 1977, located under the seat.
■ MATERIALS AND CRAFTSMANSHIP
The set comprises a circular dining table with a majestic top of genuine marble with delicate veining. It is accompanied by four sculptural chairs with molded shells. The entire set rests on the iconic central base in cast aluminum, finished with its white Rilsan lacquer.
■ CONDITION REPORT (Transparency Gallery)
This complete 1970s set is presented in excellent vintage condition:
Legs & Shells: The white lacquer has retained a beautiful shine. There are some slight micro-scratches on the base of the legs, inherent to their age of over 50 years. These subtle signs of age are an integral part of their authentic patina and do not detract from their overall aesthetic.
The Marble: In excellent condition, smooth and elegant.
The Seating: To guarantee perfect comfort for our customers, the original cushions have been replaced and completely reupholstered by a professional upholsterer with a modern and elegant fabric.
