This sofa was bought by my parents in 1968 for the new house, and because of its quality it has survived all sofas purchased afterwards.
Very solid metal substructure. Has been reupholstered in 1990 with a beautiful melange fabric.
The original brown upholstery fabric can still be seen on the back panels.
[ but the new one is much nicer ].
In the NAI [ Netherlands Architecture Institute ] in Rotterdam I could find the sofa in the Gispen catalogs from the factory archives, which are kept there.
