Alexander Girard Upholstery Collector's Item
This unique Eames Lounge Chair was purchased in October 2023 from a former Herman Miller employee in Holland, Michigan. He received the chair as a retirement gift.
The chair was new but had a small scratch on the head shell. We disassembled all wooden parts, touched up the scratch, and professionally refinished it.
Made in black ash veneer with visible grain and upholstered in the iconic Checker fabric by Alexander Girard (1965), sustainable and Greenguard Gold certified.

This unique version is therefore a true statement piece in any interior. Since its introduction in 1956, the lounge chair has grown into one of the most recognizable and influential pieces of furniture of the 20th century – a modern interpretation of the classic club armchair that still feels just as fresh and relevant.
The Checker upholstery, designed by textile master Alexander Girard, gives the chair a playful graphic accent.
