Authentic American LCW from the rare transitional Evans/Herman Miller period, produced circa 1947–1949.
This iconic design marks a key moment in the history of modern furniture design.
This example features the 5-2-4 screw configuration, typical of early transitional models, and is crafted from molded plywood with ash veneer. The original shock mounts are in good condition.
Condition & Restoration
The chair has been carefully and professionally restored, with only minor, respectful interventions:
Minimal veneer repairs where necessary
A new coat of lacquer, applied with full respect for the original vintage character
