The Cassina Model 829 armchair, designed by the influential Italian architect and designer Gio Ponti, is an iconic piece from the mid-twentieth century. This specific model stands out for its elegant, sculptural wooden frame and distinctive high backrest, which together create a refined silhouette typical of Ponti's masterful approach to form and function.
This armchair is crafted with a solid wood frame, where the visible wood joints on the armrests attest to high-quality craftsmanship. The seat and backrest are upholstered in a light blue, textured fabric, finished with subtle button details on the back. The original 'Figli di Amedeo Cassina' label is still present on the underside, confirming its authenticity and Italian origin.
