The Cassina LC2 armchair is a classic design by Le Corbusier. The Italian company Cassina has been producing the beautiful LC series since 1965, but the design itself dates back to 1928. At that time, Le Corbusier worked with his cousin Pierre Jeanneret in a studio in Paris. The great success came in 1927, when the pair decided to collaborate with a young architect: Charlotte Perriand. Many design successes followed from this fruitful collaboration, including this LC2 armchair. In 1929, when it was first presented, the armchair represented everything new and modern about furniture. Even now, almost 100 years later, the LC2 can still be called modern. The recognizable frame of chrome-plated steel holds together the full cushions filled with polyurethane foam. ▪︎ 2x LC2 armchair New edition
