The Isot Kivet rug by Marimekko is inspired by the iconic design by Maija Isola from 1956, and symbolizes timeless charm and bold aesthetics.
The rug is made with a three-dimensional combination of cut and loop pile; it features the nature-inspired Isot Kivet pattern, Finnish for "large stones". Legend has it that the inspiration for Maija Isola's iconic design was sparked by the large, rough-edged stones scattered across the land where her studio was built. She creatively cut circles out of paper to bring this distinctive motif to life.
Made by the Dutch company Brink & Campman, the carpet maker par excellence, this Marimekko rug has a playful yet refined look, making it the ideal addition to a modern, minimalist, and Scandinavian atmosphere in your home.
