Product description
Two-seater sofa by designer Piero Lissoni, named Avio, produced by the Italian manufacturer Knoll International. I purchased the sofa at the Ligne store in the Sint-Hubertus Galleries in Brussels in December 2023. Because I have used it virtually unattended, the two-seater is still like new. Therefore, you cannot expect any signs of wear or stains! A matching cushion is included free of charge with the purchase. This cushion (Evolution 21) was also purchased at the Ligne store; the price was 405 EUR.
The sofa can be disassembled into three parts. There is a steel frame on which the upholstered upper section rests, and the upholstered section consists of two parts. The sofa is therefore very easy to transport.
Thanks to an innovative frame with a central steel truss, the Avio collection is generously upholstered yet visually light. Designer Piero Lissoni added this load-bearing beam to support the weight of the seats and eliminate all bulk underneath, creating a custom-made, minimalist silhouette that fits into any environment. Piero Lissoni is an international designer with offices in Milan and New York, who employs a bespoke approach to architecture, furniture, interiors, and graphic design. He describes his work as “sleek and more or less quiet,” which he achieves through proportion, harmony, and design that is as understated as possible.
