Product description
The Avena vase was created in the 1960s, designed by Tapio Wirkkala for the Finnish manufacturer Iittala.
Its iconic form, inspired by nature, features a distinct vertical texture reminiscent of ice or tree bark. The organic approach to glass, characteristic of Tapio Wirkkala’s designs, lends the piece a sculptural, almost raw quality. The transparent material beautifully refracts light, emphasising the depth of the structure. This is a collector’s item of Finnish design that combines minimalism with a distinct character.
