Iconic Scandinavian design, this beautiful heavy crystal vase from Strömbergshyttan (Sweden). Mouth-blown, clear, thick-walled crystal. Asymmetrically cut rim and oval opening.

Condition: Good vintage condition; normal wear to the foot and two small fleabites on the neck. No cracks or chips.

Asta Elvira Strömberg (1916–2011) was a Swedish glass artist. Her glass compositions are characterized by thick-walled objects in a classical style with a faceted finish. Her works are in the collections of museums in Buenos Aires, New York, Wilmington and the Swedish Institute in Minneapolis.
