Product description
Three beautiful chairs by Friso Kramer, commissioned by Ahrend de Cirkel, with original black faux leather upholstery. Made in the 1960s. Metal frame. This chair has the same seat and backrest as the Friso Kramer Resort armchair, but with a triangular tubular frame. Dimensions: H x W x D = 75 x 64 x 57 cm and the seat height is 45 cm. Marked: Ahrend de Cirkel.
The three chairs are in very good condition considering their age, with normal signs of wear and tear. A small worn spot in the faux leather is visible on the armrest of one chair.
In the Netherlands, Friso Kramer belongs to the first generation of industrial designers. Besides Ahrend, he also worked for companies such as Auping and Wikhahn.
I also have a fourth (Resort) chair with slightly different black leather upholstery. The difference is that the leather has a very slightly perforated texture. Not visible from a distance, so if you're interested, we can discuss selling four items.
This item has always been used in an office at a conference table that was rarely, if ever, used. The seat is still fully padded and comfortable. The leather is in very good condition (except for a small spot, as mentioned; see photos for details).
On 1 chair, the leather on the front of the armrest is slightly damaged, so it is not 100% clean anymore. The leather is otherwise flawless and even. No scuffs, etc. Little used.
