The CH29, also known as the "Sawbuck Chair," is an iconic design by Danish designer Hans Wegner for Carl Hansen & Søn. The design dates back to 1952 but is still beloved for its timeless aesthetic and functionality.
The name "Sawbuck Chair" is derived from the design of the back legs, which resemble the traditional wooden supports used to secure logs for sawing, known as "sawbucks." These back legs give the chair a rustic look that is combined with the clean lines of the seat and the open-worked backrest, typical of Wegner's work.
The CH29 is made of high-quality teak wood and craftsmanship, typical of Carl Hansen & Søn. The seat and back are carefully shaped for optimal comfort, while still maintaining a slim profile. The chair was available in different woods and finishes, adapting to different interior styles.

This set consisting of 6 original pieces in teak is in very clean condition, both the woodwork and upholstery are original and immediately usable. The traces of use are not strange for a set of 6 chairs that have been used for over 60 years as a piece of furniture par excellence, but never disturbing.
The upholstery is intact, and can easily last another round, any wishes regarding (new) upholstery we would like to hear and of course we can also take care of if desired.
This set can be used immediately and will be a real eye catcher in any interior.
