The Cassina LC3 Sofa is a classic design by Le Corbusier. Since 1965, Italian Cassina has been publishing the beautiful LC series, but the design itself dates back to 1928. At this time, Le Corbusier worked with his cousin Pierre Jeanneret in a studio in Paris. The big success came in 1927, when they decided to collaborate with a young architect: Charlotte Perriand. Many design successes followed from this fruitful collaboration, including this LC3 Sofa. In 1929, when it was first presented, the sofa represented everything that was new and modern in furniture. Even now, almost 100 years later, the sofa can still be called modern. Unlike the LC2, the LC3 features wider dimensions in width and has a lower seat height of 40 centimeters. Features of the sofa include the low back and the chrome frame that holds the individual cushions together. Each cushion is filled with polyurethane consisting of six different zones in which the foam is harder or softer. Optionally, the foam is then covered with a layer of polyester wadding or springs. The use of feathers gives a totally different look to the sofa. The cushions have a looser look and sink in a bit, through the frame. The polyester wadding keeps the cushions tight. So that's really a matter of taste!
These 2 LC3 two-seaters are made in beautiful camel cognac leather. The frame is powder coated matte black. A very modern look! The padding is made with springs (more expensive option). Super comfortable!!!
