Rare Vintage IKEA Arc Lamp 'Typ G9206' With Blue Ribbed Frosted Glass Shade – 1990s
Description: Offered for sale: a stunning and very rare vintage design arc lamp (floor lamp) from IKEA, model Typ G9206 from the 1990s. This object is a fantastic and sought-after example of high-end postmodern IKEA lighting design. It forms a real eye-catcher in any contemporary, eclectic, or mid-century modern interior.
The lamp immediately stands out due to its unique, conical shade made of thick, horizontally ribbed blue frosted glass. This glass creates a beautiful diffuse and atmospheric light effect as soon as the lamp is lit. The slender, double metal arc rods are finished in matte black and transition into a heavy, layered round cast iron base that gives the lamp a very stable foundation. The original IKEA identification label is still perfectly intact on the underside of the base. Thanks to the functional hinge section at the top of the stand, the angle of the arc and the shade can be manually adjusted as desired, making the lamp ideal for use as a stylish reading lamp next to an armchair or sofa.
