A rare piece of French glass art for the lover of authentic design.
This beautiful Table lamps is attributable to the renowned French glass artist Jean-Noël Bouillet (b. 1943), whose work in France and Europe is compared to the great glass houses Daum and Baccarat.
Bouillet was known for his masterful, hand-painted mouth-blown glasswork in the tradition of Verre Églomisé — organic, marbled color patterns that make each piece unique.
ATTRIBUTION
🔍 Stylistic recognition
The sand-colored, speckled sheen of the glass and the organic, marbled structure are characteristic of Bouillet's signature technique — no two pieces from his hand are identical.
🏺 Craftsmanship quality
Museum-quality mouth-blown glass, brass fitting with a beautiful, naturally aged bronze patina. No scratches, no chips — the glass is in impeccable condition.
⚖️ Thoughtful craftsmanship
The base is internally weighted with sand — a conscious, functional design choice for stability, characteristic of the careful finish of an experienced glass artist, not for mass production.
🏷️ Double provenance confirmation
Two independent labels confirm each other: on the inside of the shade, the label of Koek Verlichting (Eindhoven–Maastricht), a renowned family business with a history of 60+ years in classic and design lighting since its establishment in 1946. On the outside, the golden print “Jean-Noël Bouillet” — a conscious, legible attribution, not a coincidental decoration.

Presumably 1980s / 1990s — fitting the heyday of Bouillet's artisanal glass art production and the period in which Koek Verlichting actively sold classic and design lighting through its branches in Eindhoven and Maastricht.
