This iconic folding table/wall lamp was designed in 1975 by Yamada Shomei. The design, called "Manon," is inspired by the shapes of Japanese origami.
This lamp was first produced in the 1970s by Yamada Shomei Lighting Co. Ltd., a Japanese company.
It was also sold by various companies worldwide, including: Tronconi (Italy), Vrieland Design (Netherlands), Happylight (Netherlands), Massive (Belgium), Fischer Leuchten (Germany), Brilliant Leuchten (Germany), Fase (Italy), E/Lite Products, and probably a few others. This example was manufactured by Vrieland Design.
The lamp has an automatic switch inside: it turns off when the lamp is folded and turns back on automatically when it is unfolded.

Some superficial scratches on one side of the top (see image 7), but barely visible.
