A rare gallery-quality piece. Superb and imposing large-format (XXL) table lamp dating from the 1970s Space Age period. This exceptional hand-blown Murano glass model is attributed to designer Toni Zuccheri for the famous Italian glassworks AV Mazzega (the lamp carries no label; the attribution is based on the specific historical design and craftsmanship). The large spherical globe stands out for its remarkable artistic technique: a vertical ribbed texture that terminates at the top in a jagged "zig-zag" collar, adorned with a central amber/caramel colored glass accent. The lower section elegantly fades into a satin milky white (lattimo) finish. When lit, this light sculpture creates a spectacular, dramatic pattern of radial light beams onto the surrounding walls. The glass diffuser rests on a solid cylindrical base in bright polished chrome, complete with its three original fixing screws. Inside, the original white cased-glass internal cylinder jacket diffuses a soft, even light. Features a ceramic socket fitting a standard E27 bulb (LED bulb highly recommended). Fully disassemblable. A high-impact statement piece for premium interiors.
Condition: Excellent vintage condition, gallery grade. The glass is perfectly intact with no cracks or chips. The chrome is clean and shiny with very minor, normal signs of age. Original wiring is fully functional.
