Magnificent rug attributed to Verner Panton for Tisca in the 1970s.
This beautiful wool rug features geometric patterns. Verner Panton's style is clearly evident in the arrangement of concentric squares, creating a color gradient from brown to light beige.
All these uses of color combined with geometry are characteristic of the Pop Art style championed by Verner Panton and give the rug a three-dimensional appearance.
This rug is in very good vintage condition; it has been cleaned to remove all residual dirt. Remnants of a label are visible on the back of the rug. While the shapes, colors, and construction of the rug clearly suggest it can be attributed to Verner Panton, this cannot be definitively confirmed by a label.
