Elegant silver-plated jewelry box by the renowned German manufacturer WMF (Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik), dating from the Art Nouveau / Jugendstil period, circa 1900–1910.
The lid is decorated with an exquisite high-relief motif of stylised leaves and pine cones, a classic example of German Art Nouveau craftsmanship. The underside bears the original WMF, OX and 1/0 marks.
The box still retains its original working lock and key and the original interior lining, adding to its authenticity and charm.
A refined decorative object that fits beautifully in Art Nouveau, Belle Époque, eclectic or contemporary interiors.
Condition
Very good antique condition with an attractive original patina. Minor age-related wear to the silver plating and light surface marks consistent with over 100 years of use. Original key included. Lock functions correctly.
