A striking Dümler & Breiden vase lamp from the "Studio71" series (documented by the base stamp) dating from the early 1970s. Its iconic amphora shape features side handles and a relief decoration. Cordless, easily positioned, and equipped with modern lighting technology, this lamp is a true statement piece for lovers of West German pottery, Pop Art, Mid-Century design, and expressive interior design.
Dümler & Breiden was among the most renowned manufacturers of the West German pottery era. The series from which this vase originates, with its diverse shapes and variations of colorful glaze, was one of the manufacturer's most popular designs. An authentic design object from the heyday of West German ceramic art.
The vase, with its base stamp and collector's value, was not damaged during its conversion into a lamp base. We did not drill any holes; instead, we securely attached the lamp socket to the vase using a plug-in solution. The opening is sealed with a high-quality brass plate, and the vase is weighted down with sand.
The lamp is cordless and uses a modern, rechargeable LED bulb with a remote control. No bothersome power cord – it can be placed anywhere. Warm white light provides classic illumination. Additionally, colored light modes (e.g., green, orange, etc.) can be selected via the remote control for atmospheric accents.
The woven shade, made of mottled T-shirt yarn in neon orange and green, complements the vase's colors and gives the lamp a vibrant look. The light, which can be colored if desired, filters through the threads, creating a captivating ambiance.
