Original “Oase” armchair by Wim Rietveld for Ahrend De Cirkel (1958) – an iconic Dutch design classic that was awarded the prestigious Signe d’Or in 1959. This rare model combines a slender black metal frame with graphic lines, Bakelite armrests, and sleekly upholstered cushions in a fresh aqua shade, ideal for an industrial or mid-century inspired interior. The chair has been professionally reupholstered in a green/blue (aqua) upholstery fabric over the past five years, making it ready for immediate placement in a contemporary interior. The minimalist silhouette and slightly reclined seat ensure a comfortable lounging position without appearing bulky, perfect for a living room, waiting area, or creative studio. Condition: Very good vintage condition.
