Wim Zwiers (1922 - 2019) was a Dutch graphic artist, engraver, draftsman, painter, sculptor, glass painter and was director of academy Minerva in Groningen.
Life history,
After graduating from the Christian hbs in Rotterdam, he studied at the Academy of Visual Arts in Rotterdam from 1940 and graduated there in 1944. In 1948, Zwiers was among the three Dutch graphic artists who participated in the Prix de Rome for printmaking. From 1946 to 1964 he was attached to the said academy as a teacher of graphic techniques. From 1964 to 1974 he was attached to the Minerva Academy in Groningen.
