Wilkhahn Stand-Up — Balance Stool for Active Sitting and Standing The Stand-Up from the German company Wilkhahn is not a stool you sit still on. That is precisely the point. It works like this: the stool stands on a single point, but as soon as you lean on it, it tilts slightly and is stabilized by your own body weight. So, you are constantly balancing a little. Enough to activate your joints, keep your back muscles working, and keep your pelvis upright, without you having to make any effort. Wilkhahn developed it within their Dynamic Office concept: furniture that brings movement into the workday instead of taking it out of it. The cone shape is covered with sturdy, breathable mesh, topped with an upholstered seat in fresh green. There is a carrying strap with a loop on the side, so you can take it under your arm to wherever you need it. Useful at a sit-stand desk, in the kitchen, as an extra seat during a meeting, or simply in a corner where it looks good.
