This early generation Wilkhahn Delta leather armchair, with black plastic shells and brushed aluminum armrests with leather overlays, is in excellent condition. The leather is flawless, and the plastic shells and aluminum legs show only minimal patina on the piping and base. The chair swivels. The Delta 2000 model was designed in 1968 by the Delta Group. A classic of 1960s design, it can be used as an office, conference, or dining room chair.
More than 100 years ago, the Wilkhahn company was founded by Friedrich Hahne and Christian Wilkening as a chair factory. In 1946, contact was established with the Deutsche Werkstätten (German Workshops) and the designers Georg Leowald and Herbert Hirche, who worked in the Bauhaus tradition. Since then, Wilkhahn has been one of the leading manufacturers of premium office furniture.
