Product description
The Cleopatra sofa bed breaks with the design of all previous beds. AR (Dick) Cordemeijer designs 'something beautiful' on behalf of Auping . In the 1950s, bedroom design changed. The elegant design of the Cleopatra fits in perfectly with this. With the arrival of the Cleopatra you could speak of real industrial design, the first bed that was produced in series. The bed is made of steel with a wooden ornament. The Cleopatra was produced until 1982, which is a remarkably long time and reflects the great success of this bed. A mattress of 80 x 190 cm is suitable for this white lacquered daybed.
This bed is in very well preserved vintage condition with some light wear consistent with age and use. A larger variant with teak bed ends on a black lacquered steel frame (94 x 197 cm) is also available in our collection.
