Japanese-style pendant lamp. Made of bent plywood with a sisal shade and a Perspex diffuser. Manufactured in the 1960s by the Swiss company Temde, known for their use of natural materials and shapes in their lamp designs.
The frame is made of plywood components held together with wooden wedges.
The shade has been restored with 85 meters of new sisal cord.
A minor repair to the frame and one stain on the Perspex diffuser.
The original rise and fall mechanism still works well and is original. The cord is also original.
