Iconic Polder Sofa XL, designed by Dutch designer Hella Jongerius for Vitra.
The Polder Sofa was introduced in 2005/2006 and has since become a true design classic. The design is inspired by the Dutch polder landscape: low, horizontal, and built up from different color fields. Jongerius combined various fabrics, shades, and structures for this, finishing the sofa with her characteristic large buttons made of different materials.
This is the generous original XL version in the green color scheme. The different shades of green, the grey-green seat cushion, the contrasting back sections, and the diverse buttons give the sofa its very own character. This first version of the Polder Sofa is no longer in production in this configuration and is beloved by enthusiasts of Dutch design.
The sofa has been used and shows visible signs of wear appropriate for its age and use, but in our opinion, it is still in a beautiful and very presentable condition. The photos accurately reflect the condition. Precisely because of the different fabrics and color nuances, normal signs of wear are not very noticeable.
A special piece of furniture that, despite its size, appears low and calm, and truly makes a statement in a large interior.
