A design by British designer Jasper Morrison for the Swiss manufacturer Vitra. This large footstool is an example of Morrison's 'supernormal' design philosophy, focusing on functionality and understated aesthetics rather than striking forms. This specific piece, produced in 2003, is made of black leather and rests on four slender legs of chromed metal. The construction is robust, and the upholstery is tightly fitted with clear stitching that accentuates its shape. Its minimalist and functional design makes it a versatile piece of furniture. The overall condition of the footstool is good and consistent with its age and use.
