The Vitra Eames DAW armchair, designed by Charles and Ray Eames, is an iconic piece of furniture that embodies the essence of Mid-Century Modern design. This specific example distinguishes itself through the addition of a fixed seat cushion, which further enhances the comfort of the classic organic form.
The chair is crafted with a white synthetic seat shell, which rests on a wooden base featuring the characteristic black metal cross braces. The fixed cushion is upholstered in a grey melange fabric, creating a subtle contrast with the light shell. Production labels on the underside confirm authenticity and date this particular piece to 2012.
