Product description
Striking VIP coat stand, designed by Roberto Lucci & Paolo Orlandini and produced in Italy for Velca / Pabett. The model dates from the 1970s and is a typical example of the experimental Italian plastic design of this era.
Particularly characteristic is the combination of the long chrome-plated central rod and the strong dark blue plastic elements on the base and coat rack crown. The upper, star-shaped crown offers several options for hanging clothes hangers as well as additional hooks for jackets, bags or accessories. The base also functions as an umbrella stand and has several circular openings.
Condition: Good authentic vintage condition with signs of wear consistent with age and use. The blue plastic parts show superficial scratches, scuffs and minor marks, especially on the base and crown. The chrome-plated rod is generally well preserved and shiny.
