Product description
Vintage XL Flowerpot VP2 Large designed by Verner Panton in 1967. This one has a diameter of 50 cm and is the largest model ever made.
This particular example is an early edition from the 1970s manufactured by Louis Poulsen. Since the reissue, these have been manufactured by &Tradition, resulting in a significant difference. The vintage examples are made of enameled steel, whereas the current ones are made of lacquered aluminum.
Enamel has a typical deep shine and great colorfastness.
The large VP2 version is considerably rarer than the smaller Flowerpot models and is becoming increasingly difficult to find in this condition.
This example is still in very beautiful vintage condition and still bears the Louis Poulsen sticker with the old logo (see photo). The wiring was replaced for safety reasons but with the same type of cable.
A beautiful collector's item and a timeless piece of Scandinavian design.
