An iconic Boby storage trolley, designed by Italian designer Joe Colombo in 1970.
This impressive XL version consists of four stacked storage sections and offers a particularly generous capacity. Its ingenious construction combines open side compartments with multiple pivoting trays, all mounted on castors for easy movement.
Made from cream-coloured moulded plastic, the trolley features the original moulded Joe Colombo signature. Its sculptural form, rounded openings and clever rotating storage system perfectly embody the futuristic Space Age aesthetic of 1970s Italian design.
Originally created as a practical storage solution for architects and designers, the Boby trolley is equally suitable for a studio, office, bathroom, dressing room, workshop or contemporary living space.
This is a genuine vintage example showing visible signs of age and use. The cream plastic has developed some discolouration and patina, with scratches, marks and staining, particularly on the upper surfaces and inside certain compartments. These signs have been photographed and form part of the trolley’s authentic vintage character.
The trays rotate correctly and the trolley remains functional and mobile.
