Vintage Wassily Chair in black leather – Fasem, Italy
A particularly beautiful vintage version of Marcel Breuer's famous Wassily Chair, produced by Fasem in Italy and featuring the original Fasem label on the underside.
The design is formed by a clear interplay of chromed tubular steel and wide strips of black leather. No superfluous upholstery or decoration: it is precisely the open space between the frame and the leather that gives the chair its characteristic, almost floating appearance. From every angle, the armchair displays a different interplay of lines.
This version is in neat vintage condition. The black leather is beautifully preserved and shows light signs of wear appropriate for its age. The chrome is well-maintained and the construction is sturdy and stable. A recognizable Bauhaus design that, despite its monumental appearance, looks surprisingly airy in an interior.
