This vintage Bay Keramik vase is a characteristic example of West German ceramics from the 1960s and 70s. The design stands out due to the expressive combination of a smooth, orange-brown neck and a rough, dark fat lava glaze layer that drips over the light base.
The vase is crafted from ceramic and displays the typical experimental glazing techniques of that period. The contrasting textures and colors, ranging from beige and brown to orange and dark gray, give the object a distinct tactile character. The original Bay Keramik label is still present on the neck, and the underside is marked 'W-GERMANY'.
The object is in very neat condition, befitting its age and careful use. The original finish and characteristic glaze have been excellently preserved, contributing to the authentic appearance of this collector's item.
