Workmanship:
Beautiful, continuous diamond tufting (capitonnage) on the backrest and seat – extremely elaborate craftsmanship.
Accents:
Precisely placed decorative nails (Nailhead Trim) on the armrests.
Legs:
Curved cabriole legs made of real wood at the front in the classic Queen Anne style.
Condition: Very good and well-maintained, the velvet shows hardly any signs of wear. From a pet-free, non-smoking household.

About the history of the armchair:
This is a genuine family heirloom with a story: My relative went to the USA with a GI after World War II and lived for many years in Colorado Springs. Upon her return to Germany, she brought this special American piece of furniture with her in the 1990s. As I now simply lack the space, it may move on to appreciative hands.
