Beautiful, unique vintage Tibetan black Khol powder bottle with chains attached to the cap with a small rod so it doesn't get lost.
The photos speak for themselves.
A friend brought this back for me from Tibet.
Dimensions: height 6.5 cm, width 4.5 cm, and depth 3.5 cm.
More than 30 years old. Given its age and because it is handmade, it is in perfect condition with all the decorations, and made of Tibetan silver; a few stones were missing from the start.
This is made using traditional Tibetan technology. Tibetan silver is usually somewhat darker than 925 silver.
Only a small amount of silver is incorporated into Tibetan silver.
A unique piece from the Flower Power era. These bottles were originally intended for black Khol powder, which women use to blacken their eyes.
A longer handle is attached directly to the lid, which has a small indentation at the end. This allows you to remove small amounts of powder, for example. Look at the photos.
From the outside, this small object is richly decorated, but I think they are colorful glass stones or semi-precious stones such as amethyst or turquoise.
