A beautiful teak secretary desk, designed by Erling Torvids in the 1960s. The warm brown of the teak and its vibrant grain bring a pleasing depth to the room – and those who look closely will discover ever-new details.
The upper section opens via a flap held by two gilded brass hinges, revealing a generous writing surface. Behind it lies a thoughtfully designed interior: two teak sliding doors flank a series of small compartments and drawers with black details on the fronts – a beautiful contrast to the wood. The unique feature: the upper drawers can only be opened by a hidden mechanism inside the flap.
The lower section contains three deep drawers with curved, organically shaped wooden handles that are smoothly integrated into the fronts and feel comfortable in the hand. The piece stands on four slender, tapered legs.
