Swedish vintage wall cabinet with two doors and two drawers, designed and produced by Ulferts Tibro. This cabinet is a fine example of high-quality Scandinavian design from the mid-20th century, in which functionality, quality, and understated elegance take center stage.
Ulferts Möbler was founded in 1943 in Tibro, a town known as the heart of the Swedish furniture industry. In the 1950s and 1960s, the family business grew into an internationally respected manufacturer of cabinets and sideboards, particularly crafted from teak and rosewood. Ulferts was known for its consistent design language, precise woodworking, and durable construction. Many designs were modular and intended to last a long time, both practically and aesthetically. The furniture was not only sold in Sweden but also widely exported to Germany, England, and the United States. To this day, Ulferts furniture is appreciated for its timeless appeal and solid quality. This wall cabinet features two doors with ample storage space behind them, ideal for tableware, books, or home accessories. The two drawers offer additional storage space for smaller items. The warm wood color, clean lines, and refined details make this piece of furniture an elegant and versatile addition to both modern and vintage interiors.
Brief note regarding the brand on the door: one of the doors bears the name Möbel Mann. This was a German furniture store/importer that sold Scandinavian furniture on the German market. This therefore concerns the point of sale; the design and production originate from Ulferts Tibro.
The cabinet is in good vintage condition, with light signs of use consistent with its age. The doors stick. The furniture has been carefully cleaned and treated with a suitable oil, allowing the wood to regain its warm appearance and depth.
