This magnificent seating area, consisting of two two-seater sofas and two armchairs, is by Swedish designer Yngve Ekström and dates from the 1960s. Yngve Ekström was a key figure in the development of Scandinavian modernism and co-founder of the furniture design company Swedese. This set is crafted from pine frames with clean lines and rounded corners. The sofas consist of two separate seating areas side by side, each with individual seat and back cushions, upholstered in a soft beige fabric with button details and an additional head cushion for comfort. This set is a fantastic example of Swedish mid-century design and adds a touch of vintage Scandinavian style to any modern living space. The set is in excellent condition with very minor signs of wear.
