Up for sale is an icon of mid-century Scandinavian design: the "Ultima 9" ashtray, designed by the renowned duo Holger Bäckström & Bo Ljungberg (Beck & Jung) and produced by Diverse Ting in Malmö, Sweden, in the 1960s and 1970s.
This piece is an original vintage piece in solid brass (not a modern reproduction). It features the rare and essential original Diverse Ting "b" stamped on the bottom, certifying its authenticity and collectible value.
The "Brutalist" design is composed of two elements: a square base with an internal concentric circle pattern and a solid upper grille with geometric holes (circular and diamond-shaped), designed to protect against wind and elegantly conceal the contents.
