Product description
Elegant vintage foie gras service, comprising an oval silver-plated metal tray resting on four small ball feet, adorned with two embossed duck figures at the ends, accompanied by a matching toast holder and serving scoop. Made in France in the 1960s–1970s in a traditional and refined tableware style. The tray has a removable glass base engraved with a duck motif and the inscription "Foie Gras".
The tray measures 31 cm long by 15 cm at its widest point and 6.5 cm high including the ducks. The toast holder measures 18 cm long by 10 cm wide and 15.5 cm high to the handle. Total weight approximately 800 grams. In good used condition, the tray has some superficial scratches on the base and a few discreet oxidation spots. The underside displays a natural patina not visible when displayed. The toast holder has a slight deformation that does not affect its stability or use; this is possibly original. The glass plate has a few fine scratches, and the serving scoop has superficial scratches from use and cleaning. The set is otherwise clean. Approximately 800g for the set.
