The boats were crafted using the traditional Sommerso technique, in which a layer of colored glass (in this case, a deep cobalt blue) is encased in clear glass.
Each sail features a colored eye (murrina) fused into the glass. Both pieces also retain their original red manufacturing stickers bearing the inscription "Made in Murano, Italy."
